One of the things I love about my husband is the passion he puts into everything. He always sees the good in things and strives to be the best at whatever he does.
Since a young boy he has taken part in karate and it is by far his biggest passion. He wasn’t the greatest when he first started but through sheer grit and determination he has become an awesome fighter an accomplished many achievements over the years.
He would love for all the children to follow in his footsteps, but as yet the oldest two have tried it out but it’s not really been for them. He is hoping that out of five one of them is going to have the same passion for the sport that he has.
It is a fantastic choice of sport and is a great thing for children to get into as it keeps them active, instills discipline, gives them focus and give them the opportunity to see the world and make life long friends.
This weekend he was competing in a town near us so I went along with the youngest three to cheer him on.
I had my reservations about taking them all with me and these fears were not unfounded as I spent the majority of the tornament running around a tennis court outside.
We went back in when it was Daddy’s turn to fight and Ioved seeing their faces cheering and getting caught up in the atmosphere.
He had two hard fights and won himself a well deserved second place. When it was time to go and collect his trophy he took number four along with him to stand on the mat and pick up his trophy. As he said his passion is karate but his greatest achievements are his children.

Fantastic, congrats to your husband!! That’s so lovely that he said his greatest achievement are his children 🙂 It can be so challenging bringing the kids off somewhere like that – at least there was an enclosed area for them to burn off energy! #TwinklyTuesday #wineandboobs
I won’t be taking them again in a hurry. I was very thankful for the good weather and tennis court!!
It’s hard because he loves having them there X
Such a lovely post. I can tell how proud you are of your husband 🙂 Congrats to him on becoming so good at something he loves!!

Thank you. It drives me mad that it is such a commitment, but it was in his life long before me and I really do love his passion for it xx
The Mother says – What a brilliant post and I love the last sentence. What a beautiful sentiment. #wineandboobs
Thank you, so glad you enjoyed it x
Ahh this is brilliant – your children must have been so proud! I hope at least one of them follows in his footsteps so he can share his passion with them! Thanks so much for linking up with #TwinklyTuesday and well done husband!
Thank you!! He will be gutted if not bless him! He’s getting to the end of his fighting now so I think he was hoping on one of them taking over x

Thank you. It drives me mad that he is out training so much but I know how much it means to him x
