How many of you have had the nightmare of a missing favourite toy?
I know that I have spent many an hour trawling parks, searching woodland and retracting every step of several shopping trips.
The children are distraught with the thought of losing their favourite toy and you are completely stressed out and worried at the distress the whole situation is causing.
Research has shown that a staggering 2.5 million families have a favourite toy and 70% would place this toy in such high regard that they would class it as a member of the family.
Richmond Sausages have come up with the fabulous idea of creating a toy tracking chip that can be attached to your child’s favourite toy which can be picked up through the GPS and Bluetooth on your phone through a downloadable app.
We put this to the challenge and had a trip to the park with our teddy and his chip to see how well it worked.
The app was very easy to download and only took a few minutes to set up. The children loved that a picture and name of your toy can be added to the toy you are tracking.
I placed the teddy in several different locations round the park and it managed to pick it up each time.
After all that hide and seek we made our way back home with teddy firmly still in hand to tuck into a well earned dinner.
For me this would be a great device and would save a lot of tears and heartache for many children. The only issue would be that my children love to undress everything so I would have to keep a check that the chip was still attached.

Cute. That’s a nifty idea. Yeard ago my daughter lost her favorite Tigger toy while out. I’ll never forget her devastation.
Oh no!! We had the same with a plastic duck years ago and it a complete melt down for days x
