Over with the lovely ladies at Truly Madly Kids the image of the week is all about pumpkins and the wonderful cause raised by World Vision called Carve A Heart. It would be wonderful if you could all dig deep and text HEART to 70060 and donate £5.
My pumpkin carving skills are limited to say the least so I have picked one ofmy favourite pumpkin themed images from our wonderful trip to Chessington World Of Adventure this week.
The theme for this weeks Image The Week over at Truly Madly Kids is ‘Everyday’ and this is one of my favourite weekly moments.
Now we are all back into the school routine and it’s just me and number five a home we love a weekly trip to our favourite cafe Art Rebellion for coffee and cake and a bit of quality time for just the two of us, we’ll sometimes we get Daddy joining in too!!
In our house breakfast is always a rushed event with several different sittings as we all leave the house at such different times. It usually consists of the usual cereal, fruit and toast as on the rare occasion we are all together we love to all sit down to some yummy waffles with fruit and maple syrup.
We had our first real taste of waffles a few years ago in Florida and couldn’t resist purchasing a Mickey Mouse waffle iron on our return so we could recreate our holiday breakfast every now and then.
Over the summer I’ve not linked up with the lovely ladies at Truly Madly Kids and have really missed their great linky.
This weeks subject is colour which is perfect to bring some sunshine into this miserable weather we are having today.
This was taken one evening at the beginning of the summer and is one of my favourite photos.
I’m sure if you have read my blog before you will know that number two’s first love is scooting.
I’m making it my mission to get some really good action shots of him as a reminder of these days incase it’s something he no longer wants to do anymore.
It’s a little bit of a challange as the fact he is nearly a teenager I had to stand behind a board for the majority of the morning to get this shots so I wasn’t seen by anybody!!
Until reading up on this weeks challange I had no idea what the wonderful blurring on photos was called!
It was something that I have always loved but only managed to create by chance.
I have a day trip planned with a photographer friend of mine soon so hopefully she will be able to give me some good tips on creating this effect.
Here is my image that was created by pure luck!!
Children are a challange at every age. Sleepless nights with newborns, tantrums with toddlers, strops and arguments with teenagers; but none of us would have it any other way.
Children growing is a learning curve for both the children and parents. They are experiencing things for the first time as we are as parents.
With my eldest turning 18 next month I can say that we have taken on every challange along the way and both got lots of them wrong!
I’m sure there are many more challenges to come but for the most part we have got through all the big milestones together and they given us the parent/daughter relationship we have today and I wouldn’t have it any other way X
This picture completely sums up my husband and our fourth child.
They are like two peas in a pod. Hyperactive, loud, show-offs, full of character and both with funny wandering eyes!!
They being bundles of fun and laughter to the house and we wouldn’t have them any other way X
My favourite days out by far are a trip to the beach. Paddling in the sea, sandcastles, skimming stones and of course fish and chips!!
I’ve found it really hard to pick a favourite beach shot as there are so many I love.
I chose this as now that number three is aproaching his teens photos of him are rare and this just captured him doing what he loves, where we love.
We found out that number four had multiple food allergies when he was six months old. Since then we had a real struggle trying to find foods that he can eat so that he doesn’t feel left out from the rest of the family.
Most of the time we can find alternatives, but naughty foods like pizza and nuggets have been a no no as nothing has come close to the real thing.
Today we found some nuggets and as you can tell by the look on his face, he is completely over the moon!
To most people this may seem like nothing, but for us this was a really big thing and his face says it all.
