All The Hugs From The Teletubbies For National Hugging Day

Today started with two very excited little boys boarding the train full of excitement to celebrate National Hugging Day with the Teletubbies and enjoy a special screening of their new DVD release – Teletubbies: Follow The Leader which is out on DVD now.

We arrived at Sony Pictures and were greeted with a a room full of brightly coloured balloons, sumptuous food and a gaggle of very excited tots.

It wasn’t long before the room was filled will roars of excitement as Laa-Laa and Po entered and dished out hugs to their loyal fans.

Full up and eager to see what the new DVD had to offer we made our way to our seats where I was amazed at how the first few seconds of the episodes starting silenced the whole theatre, which is no mean feat when you consider over half of the audience was of pre-school age.

We sat through two new episodes from the Teletubbies that didn’t fail to impress. The bubbly, familiar characters filled the screen and lead us through their adventures from chasing shooting stars to taking a ride on our favourite Tubby Custard Train.

The fun didn’t stop here and after the screening the children got the chance to get their faces painted, take part in making some crafts and the amazing opportunity to meet Jessica Smith who was the first ever ‘Sun Baby’ and dance along with her, Laa-Laa and Po.

The Teletubbies have gone from strength to strength over the past twenty years and have managed to retain their lovable characters whilst still moving with the times which is something that many childrens shows fail to do and I’m sure they will be around to entertain both children and adults for many years to come.

Home Of Black Friday Pop-Up Experience With Amazon

Christmas is well on the way now and for many of us the worry of being able to get everyone their much longed for gifts is something that is hard to deal with.

Christmas is a truly magical time of year but the pressures of financing everything can make this happy time dampened by the pressure.

There are however ways around this with Black Friday being one of the best ways to save a fortune in the run up to Christmas.

Amazon are streets ahead when it comes to Black Friday and have taken things a step further this year with a super quirky pop-up experience in the heart of Soho Square to celebrate.

I was lucky enough to be invited along to the launch last night where we got the chance to see what is going to be on offer and listen to the thoughts behind Black Friday from retail expert – Clare Bailey.

Claire was explaining that for most of us over the years we have realised that giving money is a better option of gifting as the January sales start the minute Christmas finishes and all those gifts we have spend our hard earned money on are dramatically reduced.

However there is no thought or love behind gifting people with cash so being able to make huge savings before christmas is a great way to allow people to enjoy giving an actual gift.

The pop-up shop is a way of showcasing over 100 curated Black Friday deals with the addition of being able to try out games in their super cool games room, take part in games for your chance to win some great prizes and partake in workshops from Amazon Handmade Artisans, YouTube stars and TV chefs.

I had a wonderful evening meeting talented sellers from Amazon Marketplace such as the lovely Lavinia the owner of Lavolio who makes delicious and beautifully packaged handmade chocolates. And the guys behind Cozy Glow candles that would certainly give that well know candle male a run for their money!

They have such passion for their brand which makes their products so much more appealing.

One room in the shop was set up like a beauty salon where I was treated to a hair makeover from GHD and tried out some fabulously vibrant Max Factor lipstick that lasts for an amazing 24 hours.

The shop is open from 12.30-7.30 from Tuesday 21st November until Friday 24th November and is certainly worth a trip for a fantastically interactive shopping experience and some fantastic bargains.

Kate And Mim-Mim World Premiere:Kate In Oz

Kate And Mim-Mim World Premiere:Kate In Oz

Attending a world premiere of one of the boys favourite CBebbies shows in the heart of Soho was not a bad way to start half term.

We were lucky enough to be invited along to the one off episode of ‘Kate In Oz’ at The Curzon in Soho where we were treated to face painting, magic acts, crafts and balloon animals in a wonderfully glitzy venue.

This was a little wasted on my two hyperactive boys and all I was thinking was that number three would be kicking herself for not coming along.

All settled in our seats Cat Sandion a very familiar face from Cebeebies took to the stage to introduce the new episode we were all egar to watch.

In this episode Kate and her cute purple bunny Mim-Mim have left the comfort of Mimiloo and after a terrible dream found themselves in Oz, very reminiscent of the original film.

Cat Deely the voice of the evil witch Violet has stolen the twirl magic and is trying to capture all the purple in Oz.

It is Kate and Mim-Mim’s challenge to stop her evil mission but I will let you watch it for yourselves to see if they manage to!

This fab episode aired on the 29th October and can still be seen on IPlayer.

We had a fantastic day and can’t wait for the whole new series to hit our screens in the New Year.
